About Mike Rickett

I am a career journalist having worked for the London Dail Mail, Reuters and latterly the Liverpool Daily Post on Merseyside as well as the journalists’ leader in the region. I have experience as a crime reporter, feature writer, business editor and latterly, a senior sub-editor.

My qualifications include a BA (Hons) English, from the University of Liverpool; a BA (Hons) Fine Art and an MA in Creative Practice both from Liverpool Hope University.

I now divide my time between art and writing.

Mike is a former daily newspaper journalist and now an author. He has written three books and published two and is working on a fourth.

Two of these are being serialised on my WordPress site. The Poseidon Files and Walk a Crooked Road which is being serialised as I write it!

I have also written four ghost stories which can also be found on my site. All the published books are on Amazon, both as Ebooks and paperback.

I am alo an artist with a studio in Waterloo on the outskirts of Liverpool. I have a London art agent who handles my sales.

I am divorced and have two adult children; a daughter in Toronto, Canada, and a son in Tallinn, Estonia.

In the 1980s
I worked for a London PR consultancy Parker PR on Red Lion Street but worked at Plessey in Liver pool and Nottingham.

Head of PR, National Girobank, Bootle, Merseyside.

Led a team of 35 on sites throughout the UK. Responsibilies included PR, communications, newspapers and magaines.
